wireless connect Colorado

I live in Tahiti. I will be visiting the mountains of Colo. for 2 weeks. My friend has a PC and a Verizon usb modem. How can I connect my Macbook (Snow leopard) to access internet without signing a year's contract with Verizon ?

Yup; all you need is access code/password into the network over WIFI.
