Both my Bose and AirPods produce a loud roar in the wind to the point of uselessness. I wonder if buds without noice cancelling or even any microphone might be better. I can't use any kind of headphones because the is for walks on the beach and sweat would be worse than the noise.

I resorted to using my old wired earbuds which are much better for this purpose.

Can anyone recommend a set of buds that doesn't have a microphone?

Even with transparency mode off on both devices? I use wireless Shure 215s trail running and with environment mode off wind noise is not an issue, even switched on I don’t recall it being an issue.

Yes, even with transparency off. I have't tried my wife's new AirPods but I will on the next windy day.
