Wireless error

Hello,

I m new to Mac.. I recently updated my system (Mac updates). Soon after the updates, I m unable to access the internet. Airport detects the WLANModem, but, when I give the password, it states - your network settings has been changed and could not connect to internet. The wireless connection works when I connect it using my friend´s notebook!
How can I solve this problem?
