Is it possible to get an extender for my MacBook Pro's (early 08) wireless card? Or maybe just buy a whole new external wireless card?

For reasons I'd rather not go into, I can't change out the current wireless router, which is on the other side of the apartment (I'm on the complete opposite side).

What brand router is it? If it a linksys you can get 5dbi antenna for it.Or you could get a wireless repeaters to extend your wireless network range without requiring you to add any wiring. Just place the wireless repeater halfway between your wireless access point and your computer, and you'll get an instant boost to your wireless signal strength. Check out the wireless repeaters from ViewSonic, D-Link, Linksys, and Buffalo Technology.
