OK, so I have 2 500GB Western Digital MyBook external hard drives. They're great. But they're firewire, and need to be plugged in and yadayadayada.
My good friend "easy" says it's be sweet to have a little rack that accepts the HDD's inside these encolsure's (i believe they're SATA - this one.
Ideally I would like to have these put in a small rack in my closet or something. When I want to back up files or access them, I just go turn it on, it sees my wireless network, and it pops up on my MacbookPro. Easy a pie.
Possible? Cheap?
Also, I inherited my dad's CD collection so I have about 300 gigs of music I digitized. I figure once iTunes Match is up and running I won't have a problem as I'll be able to just download what I want and not worry about having this 300 gig chunk floating around. Do I understand this correctly? What about all the indie guys I download on Bandcamp?
