Hello all,
I am new to these forums and have a question i would be grateful if you could answer.
Here is the setting at the moment. At home i have my iBook G3 running 10.2.8 fine connected to a wireless router. Everything there works fine and i can share files with my Windows computer fine.
At work however there is a differene setup. There is one laptop there which is connected directly to an adsl modem on Talk Talk broadband (English)
Basically i want the Windows Laptop there to share it's connection with me (iBook). I thought this would be fairly easy, simply enable ICS on the Windows machine, create an Ad-Hoc Wireless Network on the ICS Windows Machine. Then i would simply connect to the network and it would recognize it all.
No deal though. The iBook recognizes the Windows Laptop and it's Network, however no Internet Connection and a crappy self-assigned IP Address of 169.254 blah blah.
So now i am stuck. I am able to experiment here at home by plugging my internet connection directly to my windows desktop and basically recreating the setup at work.
Any help you guys could give me that could resolve this issue i would be so grateful.
Thanks
Richard
