Wireless Internet Stops

I need some advise or help. I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro 13”. Recently, using Safari, I am experiencing sticky internet performance. After sticky comes refusal to move to a different URL. My diagnostic software indicates a solid, strong wireless connection. My wife’s Mac is doing well. I have tried shutting down Firevault and virus detection. I am not running a firewall. Memory should not be a problem. SO, what are some possibilities? Rebooting does correct the problem, and it may work well for hours before grinding to a halt. ??? ( Mt Lion and Sarfari 6.0.1)
