The "r" key on my 2013 MacBook Pro is not working. I had it replaced about a month ago by an authorized Apple service center. They said it would eventually stop working again. To replace the top case they said would be $500-600. So rather than do that, I was wondering if anyone has good recommendations on a wireless keyboard other than the Apple one.

For lower end priced models, I very much enjoy logitech keyboards. Some key layouts really affect typing feel, so for writing jobs, it could be helpful to specify and look for specific qualities or features like num pad.

I use the K400 occasionally for the living room / tv control because it has a touchpad, but it is very compact and a bit harder to type on. The keys are quiet and weightless.

And I own a couple of K3xx series which have bigger, standard sized keys, a little easier for big typing jobs.

Mechanical models run higher in price but also generate a clicking sound that could be unwanted, but helps with typing.
