Wireless Mighty Mouse battery question

Hello I need to know do the batteries drain when the wireless Mighty Mouse is left on but the computer is asleep? Is it best to turn the switch on the mouse off to preserve the battery life?

There's no need to switch anything off! When the computer is asleep, the mouse is too. You can check this by making sure the iMac is asleep, i.e. > sleep or alt, cmd, eject. Then look at the underside of the mouse and the green light will be off.
