Wireless Network Password not recognized

I'm trying to set up my new MBP. I am going through the initial setup process and trying to connect to my wireless network. I chose the right network and enter the password and it says it is not correct, even though it is. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Turn off the security in your router, and try to connect. If that works, change to a different type of security.

Well is your wireless router using WEP? If so try a $ in front of the password. See if that helps.

Have you tried rebooting the router (wireless station)?
