Can anyone share recommendations or experiences with third party wireless PCI cards for older Macs? I'd like to get an 802.11g card for my beige G3 desktop. In particular, does OS X provide native support for certain models (since many cards come with Windows drivers only)? My G3 is running Jaguar.

Many thanks.

I've heard that under 10.3 (Panther) any LinkSys 802.11g card will work. However, I'm not sure if under Jaguar the Airport drivers will support the cards. There are drivers sold by third-party companies to drive these older cards though: Wireless Drivers.

i have a Belkin 54G Wireless PCI Adaptor in my B&W G3 and it shows up as an airport card in the network options, the g3 is running 10.2.8.
Any PCI wireless card that uses a "Broadcom" chipset will work.

I have the Buffalo 802.11g card working perfectly in my B&W running 10.3.x.

Shows up as an Airport Card, didn't really need any other drivers or configuring. Don't get one of those "mac" 11g cards - they're not worth the price.
