I have problem using the wireless with my macbook pro.
I often get connection timeouts when trying to log in, and even when I'm connected, I often need to wait a while "looking up www.google.com"

But I found that for some reason, if I click on the wireless symbol while waiting for a page, the page tends to come up soon after the wireless menu displays "AirPort: Scanning...", even though I was already connected before.

Is it possible that the wireless uses a stronger signal when scanning, which suddenly helps the connection go through? And if so, is there a way to use a stronger signal permanently?
