Wireless Printing : AEBS or Bluetooth adapt?

Hello,


Trying to figure out the best way to do this -- I have an Epson RX 595 and I want to print to it from my MBP. Should I just get a bluetooth adaptor for the printer, or pick up an AEBS? Also -- I'm confused, does the new AEBS update allow for access to a usb hard drive wirelessly?

Is this AEBS problem still a problem, or has it been updated?

Thanks for the responses. I'm still unclear -- even if I wanted to use this as BT printer, what do I have to buy exactly? The Espon BT device says it prints from 'windows xp' computers...

Can't comment on Epson printers, but at the office I have an AirPort Express plugged in to an HP Jaserjet 1300 via USB and have no issues whatsoever printing wirelessly from my MacBook.

I have an Epson at work with the BT device sending to my iMac. It's works fine, but it's fairly slow, and it uses a GIMP driver, so you don't get all the Epson printer options.
I had an Epson RX500 - until it died - printing at home with AirPort Express under Tiger with no problems.
 
update re: Leopard wireless printing thru Airport Express

Miles- you really dont want to print via Bluetooth- you want to print via Airport- its waaaaaaaaaaaay faster for that amount of info.

I dont know about using a usb hard drive, but it seems someone here said that you'd need an Airport Extreme for that feature.

Regarding Printing - heres what ive found works on my (2006 vintage) Airport Express

Epson inkjets:
will print wirelessly from Tiger
wont "" "" "" Leopard (unless you download the "band-aid", 3rd party driver called GIMP - which from the comments is a rather appropriate name for it, being slow, and doesnt print perfectly- but at least it gives you SOME output, which is more that Epson has been able to deliver on Leopard.)

PS - HP inkjets seem to be printing wirelessly on Leopard,
....at least on my friends Airport Extreme.

Anyone else add their insights?
