I print a lot of stuff at school wirelessly from my iBook to the printer in the library. I'm assuming there are no drivers involved in this since it's communicating via AppleTalk, correct? I'd like to trash all my printer drivers to save disk space. By the way, at home, I use our family's PC to print everything, so that's not an issue.

Not exactly. Your ibook most likely detected the printer via bonjour, and uses its native driver to print to it. You can get rid of the printer drivers you don't need, but make sure you keep the drivers for the printer at school.

Appletalk is not really essential anymore, although it still is used and may be essential to some users. I print wirelessly all the time, and I don't have Appletalk activated.

Thanks. I deleted all the printer drivers except for the HP drivers and I saved over 1GB of space! :D
