My parents have a macbook 10.5.8 running leopard and they got a HP photosmart wireless D110 for christmas. The printer is hooked up to the network properly (verizon/fios router), and printing from iPads work but I cannot get it to print from the macbook- everytime I try to print something it says "printer offline" (which it isn't).
I tried changing to a static IP (i *think* I did that correctly) and it still doesn't seem to work. I honestly don't know that much about what I am doing, although I did follow the directions to change to a static IP (I assume that means to "manually set" an IP), I've read some threads with further directions and I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
The printer shows up in system preferences --> print & fax
I printed out a status report from the printer and it says it's properly connected to the internet, etc. IP address 192.168.1.200
It'll sometimes say "printing page 1% complete" before going right back to "printer is currently off-line"
I unchecked "share this printer"
** it works fine hooked up via USB **
Any suggestions / thoughts?
