I have a Canon MX700 printer (not wireless), and a Linksys Router – WRT54G2. I’m trying to setup the printer on a wireless network so it can print via mobile devices (ie. MacBook, iPad and iPhone). I’ve gotten to the point that the printer LAN has the following details:
IP address: 192.168.1.114
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
MAC address: 00:00:85:C6:3E:06
MAC address filtering: Off
IP address filtering: Off

The IP Configuration for the router’s Network Connection has the following setting:
Physical address: 00-16-76-C2-18-4E
DHCP enable: Yes
Autoconfiguration enable: Yes
IP Address: 192.168.1.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1
DNS Servers: 192.168.1.1

I’ve setup the printer on the MacBook OS X ver. 10.5.8; the General settings for the printer are:
Name: 192.168.1.114
Location:
Queue name: _192_168_1_114
Host name: localhost
Driver version: 10.67.1.0
URL: lpd://192.168.1.114/

The most I’m getting out of the printer from the MacBook are test pages, from the printer’s utility.

I’m lost as far as what to do next, I’ve looked on line and nothing seems to help. ANY SUGGESTION OR DIRECTIONS, please.

go down to target or wal-mart and buy a wireless printer I got mine on clearance for $75 also might want to upgrade to snow leopard or lion on your macbook
