im in a situation where i cant have my printer on the same side of the room as me, but rather on the other side.

And obviously i dont want to run my USB cable along the middle of the floor.

question is :

what do i need to print wirelessly ( and scan ) working with mac leopard.

( cheaper the better, but dont want junk )

( im using imac )

I highly recommend the brother MFC-5460CN printer/scanner/copier or a any brother network ready printer. I had great luck with that particular model. It works great with my mac for wireless printing AND seamless wireless scanning! It installed no problem and worked on the first try. It has an auto sheet feed scanner that you can send documents to your computer with out having to sit at your computer. (You make your computer a mailbox, choose it from the scanner and wala!)

You will need the printer, obviously, and a router/switch for that particular model.

Any questions just ask.

scanning is a daily task for me ( work related )

i currently use the canon mx700 printer, it has the autofeeder, which is great.

i love the printer, and would like to stick with it, just find some means of having it else where ,wirelessly

Yes, both do. You could replace your router with a Time Capsule and you'd get a wireless 500 GB backup drive, wireless n router, and wireless printing capabilities all at once.
