wireless printing

I was wondering if someone can tell what I am doing wrong. I am new to Apples. I installed my printer software and was immediately able to print wirelessly from microsoft word but when I tried to print from my email it says there is a printer error. My printer is connected to a router and is part of my home network.

i'm not sure how to configure that using a wireless router, although i'm sure it's similar (if not the same), but i share my printer that is wired to my iMac thru my home network by enabling "Printer Sharing" on my iMac which is located here: System Preferences > Sharing

It wouldn't be the same, that works if your computer is the host and not a router. OP, what printer do you have?
