I recently added direct-tv to my house and another macbook. On my network I have macbook aluminum, macbook white, direct-tv box hooked up to the wireless router, and my dell computer hooked up direct to the wireless router and my iPad wireless. All the computers and iPad run fast except my macbook aluminum which is running very slow internet speeds. any suggestions? But when I unplug my direct-tv from the wireless router it runs fine.

Maybe the router can only handle so much? If it runs fine AFTER you unplug one of the devices connected it clearly works fine. So it must be the router then. Check the speeds your router can handle, you may need to purchase a more advanced mode.
