Hey guys, long long time lurker, first time poster...
Sorry if this had been answered, I read the forums for about and hour before I decided to post.. I would need help pretty quickly:

What I am looking for is some sort of remote control solution for the iPhone5, that will work with both nike running apps ("Running" which is an external app and Nike + iPod which is the bulit in app). I need it to change tracks and volume.

Limitations:
I can not use headphones with remote control built in for a number of reasons: first and foremost I use ultimate ears for running they are the only pair of earphones that I've ever owned that have a nice sound and stay properly in place. Second (and this is the most important one) due to the fact that I sweat profusely any remote that has a microphone in it short circuits and goes bonkers (changes volume up and down, pause, stop skip tracks, you name it).

I had been using these for a while http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Headphone-Adapter-Remote-shuffle/dp/B002K4GBEI which did the job REALLY well, but the cable wears out in 2-3 weeks of training and breaks. It cannot handle the constant movement. UE cables can btw, what a bummer and the "Running" app won't communicate with the Nike+ sensor in the shoe, so the phone has to be in your pocket for the motion x sensor to validate your run if you are indoors and cannot use gps:(

So in other words any solutions with mics or the above concept (which is great might I add) are out.

I am thinking that the best thing would be some sort of wireless bluetooth remote. The Nike Amp+ (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/re...amp-ipod-nano-remote-for-nike-ipod-sport-kit/) watch is basically exactly what I am looking for but it has been EOL's (stupid) and I don't know if it would work with the running app (I am pretty sure it would work with iPhone5 although not a million % certain)

So since that is out, I have been searching for solutions, and the only feasible ones I came up with were:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B009A136T2/bestaeopaweebest-20
(although I would prefer my audio not go through bluetooth, since I have $500 ear phones with professional sound and some of the music I listen to is lossless)

http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/re...ck-wireless-on-the-go-ipod-rf-remote-control/
or
http://www.buyijet.com/remotes/inav-boss-v2-black-remote-ijet-1.html
but these both have dongles that aren't iPhone5 compatible, and dongles are just another weak link, that may give way due to stress of movement, and since the phone is Bluetooth capable it makes absolutely no sense to have a dongle if Bluetooth can do the job.

I think my best bet (if I don't want to use dead technology like the nike amp+) is http://www.scosche.com/bluetooth-wireless-remote-control-for-ipod-iphone-ipad

Although, also one thing that would be needed, and this one isn't a must, but sure would be super nice to have, that it is hopefully rugged (meaning it will withstand sweat/rain), although that I can pretty much manage.

Can you please help, I need to make a decision fairly quickly, because I have someone visiting me from the states and they need to buy it for me in the next day or two.

Have I missed any potential solutions?

I tried to not be a n00b and do my research before asking stuff that google could easily answer, but I am stuck and I would really appreciate some advice from people who have experience in this field.

Why aren't there many more bluetooth remote control devices for iPhones/iPods/iPads... it's nuts...

Anyway thanks in advance...
