I upgraded my router to wireless n because our old router kept shutting down or just loses signal despite remaining turned on (which required me to unplug the power adapter and put it back in). It's the D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit. Is something wrong with my router? This random resetting needs an explanation, please.

Have you tried D-Link support site for any answers to your problem. As for it resetting is not normal. Maybe a firmware upgrade is available. Do you have a lot of wireless in your area and what are you doing when this happens (ect using a coreless phone, microwave and then wireless cuts off). Have you tried to change wireless channels?
