Is it possible to scan over a network with the HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer, much as you do when printing wirelessly (I know that's possible with this model...). Might it require using the preinstalled "Image Capture" app.

Should it matter, I use an Airport Extreme...

Not sure if you ever figured out your problem with scanning ... but I've read a couple of things on this printer.

1. Make sure you download the latest HP software. The CD that comes with the printer is out of date and the drivers on the website are newer.

2. I also read where scanning doesn't work when using AEBS USB printer sharing. Try using the ethernet port, but make sure you select the correct printer on the dialog box, as you'll have one for USB and one for Ethernet.

BTW, I'm looking at getting this printer to replace my 10 year old Brother laser printer. I like this one because of iOS printing, 2-sided printing, and the copier/scanning feature.

How do you like yours?
