hi,

i intend to purchase a macbook when they are updated and will want to use it round the house on the internet so i will purchase a router.

but, i want my imac upstairs to have the internet connection still with a cable into the back of the computer, so i have a stable connection, but want wireless for the macbook.

is there a way a can use wireless on the macbook and cable on the imac.

Any router that has wireless and ports on the back can do this. This includes most routers you will find.
