Wireless speakers with iMac G5

I have an iMac G5 Rev B with built in Bluetooth 2.0.


Anyway, I want some speakers, so that I can wirelessly stream music from my iMac to the speakers.

*I want to plug the speakers into the mains, but not into the iMac.

*I don't want a full surround sound system, just a couple of speakers (or just one speaker even) to improve on the iMac's mediocre sound output.

*The speaker(s) need to look good .



Any ideas? Would the Apple HiFi work? I'd rather not get that as it is quite expensive and looks like poopoo. I'm not really sure how the whole wireless sound streaming thing works.

I use an Airport Express with Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks Plugged into it. I get great sound, super deep base and I can put them anywhere I like. I also have a set of JBL's in the bedroom on an airport express as well.

Cheers for that. But, having read that, the question I have to ask is:

Why the hell don't Apple implement the A2DP Bluetooth profile, if all it requires is a firmware update?

Just get an AirPort Express with Airfoil and whatever speakers you want.
