Network setup: Cable modem upstairs with Airport Extreme (non dual antenna) I have a cable going into the wall which goes down to my garage where I have a patch panel and a 10/100mb hub. All the rooms in my house connect from that patch panel to that hub. I have a airport express in the living room area hardwired to extend the wireless N network downstairs.
If I changed out the 10/100 hub for a gigabit hub would I see better wireless throughput between devices on the network connected to the airport express and those that are hardwired to my airport extreme? Basically is having a 10/100 hub connecting to my airport express for my wireless n network slowing down the speed for devices that connect to it compared to if it had a 1000mb link to the router?
