I have a windows 7 laptop and a macbook pro. I need to share document and photos , movies etc between the two. i have been using an external hard disk for this purpose. is it possible to do this wirelessly? Will TimeCapsule be a good choice and solve the purpose? and will seagate wireless external drive work?

They should all work. OS X supports Windows file sharing (SMB) and better NAS-s (incl. Time Capsule) support both Win (SMB) and Apple (AFP) file sharing protocols/clients.
