I have a iphone 12 is it possible to wireless transfer photos/videos over or does it have to be over USB? I only ask because I have like 25GB worth and I'm not sure if it was a cable I had but it failed about 5 min into the transfer saying it was an issue with the device transferring.

assuming that both are on the same network you can use e.g. sendanywhere - open the webpage on your pc and use the app on your iPhone.
Select the photos and videos and send them, choose »Receive« on the PC, type in the code, wait to finish.
there are other options like pairdrop, snapdrop, et cetera.
