Quick question, I would like to make an iMac G4 wireless since it doesn't have a built-in Airport card. In order to save some money, can I buy a wireless USB dongle and use that for wireless connectivity? Those are so much cheaper than the Airport cards, at least from what i have seen.

Yes.

Airport and standard wireless (what you'll see as 802.11 b/g/n) are exactly the same.

Just make sure you get something that's compatable with your router, and is Mac compatable.
