Anyone got any experience they can share? I've heard mixed reviews.

Basically I'd like to have a hub which has my printer, my Lacie, my iPhone dock and my video camera dock all in one place and then the freedom to roam my house using an MPB without anything plugged in.

Is this even feasible or is it going to be slow and problem ridden?

Impatient, aren't we?

The technology won't give you decent speeds over any distance longer than a meter or so.

There are alternative solutions such as network servers which may provide better range, but be prepared for performance issues and random problems.

Slow and unreliable. While most specs read ~30ft range, in actuality it's usually not more than a couple of feet. Signal drops constantly, and data transfer rate tends to be <1.5Mbps, tops.

Your best bet at the moment is to attach your printer and drive to your network, and then just deal with your peripherals.

Thanks for the replies. Seems it's just a pipedream then. Might have a go with the printer as that's the main problem.
