Wireless video capture box?

Hi, I would like to know if there is a video capture device which can sit next to my AV receiver and capture footage on demand (remotely would be cool) and then send the footage over wi-fi to my mac. It would be nice to see something on TV, rewind and record, then share with people as an mp4 or whatever, without having to move equipment around. Regards...
