Hi there,
I used to have a Satellite Toshiba, and with it came a wireless application. It was able to detect wirless networks (like the internet), and it would also tell your where it was coming from. I mean, it was like a radar, and would say the provider is in that direction. It was good if you wanted to connect to a server that had week connection; you could see its position, and walk towards it to get a stronger signal.

Is there program like that for mac?

thanks

iStumbler is kinda what you're looking for. It'll report signal strength, the channel the signal is being broadcast on, whether its an open or closed network. I don't believe it has a tracking feature however that will tell you what direction to head in to increase the signal strength. It doesn't look like the application has been updated for about 2 years however...
