It's hard deciding which iPhone model, size, and color to pre-order. I wish Apple had the new iPhones in stores to view/touch on Pre-Order Day. I would have an easier time picking a phone and less likely to have buyer remorse. Apple probably would have less returns as well.

But you will be missing out on the fun.

People that are into the Apple ecosystem will buy something without any testing, fitting, feel, etc....

Normal consumer OTOH will have to feel, see, test it out before they buy.

Just like the Apple Vision Pro that I bought sight unseen, except for some YT videos, that was an expensive plunge.

I think this would be a great idea. They wouldn’t have to worry about leaks, or at least not more than usual, if the stores get the products after the announcement but before preorder day.
