The same way swipe-from-left is the iOS version of Android's "back" button, it would be nice to be able to go back one more step to the home screen, from the opening screen of any app.

This is mainly to extend the life of my home button.

Thus far, I've had: a permanently stuck home button on my 4th Gen iPod Touch, a faulty home button that needed replacing on my iPad Mini Retina, and I've already seen a faulty iPhone 6 home button (girlfriend's iPhone 6).

I'm really glad there's a gesture swipe to minimize the use of the home button on my iPad, but there's nothing equivalent for iPhone.

It opens up the possibility of accidentally going back to home screen, but I'm curious if this iOS tweak would be worth it for anyone else.
