The funny thing is out in my Garage I have a MacPro 3,1 that works great for all of the tasks I use it for...but it's pretty damn cold in the garage in the winter. In spite of everyone who always bitches about "how damn hot the G5 PowerMacs run" I sure wish I had one out there pumping some heat into my freezing cold winter garage...

:p:p:p

Bummer is I actually found one for free one time but someone had ripped everything out of it before it hit the recycle bin...no memory, hard drives or graphics card (and who knows what else...). I thought "screw this, I'm not tracking all this crap down when I don't even know if this thing turns on" so I let it go to the recycler. Oh well, would have made a great heater about now!

That's not an experience I've ever really had with my PM G5. Perhaps I should power it up and see how effective it is in alleviating winter in Northern Europe. I just generally find it to be a superb PPC Mac. :)

Yeah, not my experience either. And at one point I had the last three high end model G5s running simultaneously.
