Wish You could see ANYone in Loopt.

I wish you could search or view who all in a certain vicinity is on loopt or has an iPhone 3G.. I know it couldn't show their location but I wish you could send them a friend request.

Yes, I was hoping it would show everyone with either the application installed, or any with a iphone in the area. Can you imagine seeing all the pinpoints of every iphone user in the U.S. or World. Maybe one day.

Have a question regarding Loopt. Do you have to be in the program in order for someone to see you on the map? I imagine that would be a major downfall.

Yea It would be great for people on this forum to exchange information so we could view everyone in Loopt. That way if someone was traveling and go through one of our towns we could have lunch and talk about the iphone and other gadgets.

A: Yes you do. It updates your location when you open it. You also post a sentence or two along with a picture if you'd like.

I'm sure that they still see you on the map...the last time you closed the application.

Then again, push comes September. Pray that it allows applications to push as opposed to just the Apple servers pushing :/.

User discretion. If someone got robbed, due to loopt telling where they were, without explicit authorisation? One large lawsuit.

They could easily make a setting, something like, "Show my location to: friends | all."

anyone know of an app like loopt that shows you locations of friends/other iphoners besides loopt?

i live in australia and at the moment loopt is only supported in the U.S..
