I notice when on vibrate in 4.3 and I get a text it will do 2 short vibrations instead of the 1 slightly longer one. Is this by design.

I was pretty sure you could change it in Beta 3. I thought there were multiple selections as well. Maybe they changed it for the GM release.

I don'y think you can. I have looked everywhere.

Yeah same here. I had false hope when I went under the message settings and saw the setting for the alert set and twice, but then I read underneath and it was the playback alert. I dont see what the point in changing it was.. Now to me its just annoying.

Well the point was to differentiate texts from emails but it should be an option.

I rather two vibrations for emails! I use email quite a bit, but it is not set to push, so there aren't any notifications for me.

I'm also getting this

I noticed it today too. I like it because I no longer have to take the phone out of my pocket to see if I got a text or email.

It's exactly the same as the double-vibrate you get when you plug it in.

You won't confuse it with two texts.
