I just got office 2011 and there were a bunch of updates for word which is the only office program i use. I moved over a 22,000 word doc. file from word 2004 and all seems copacetic. I'd like to hear from users though whether you feel word 2011 is finally stabilized and safe. Early reviews from 2010 before the recent updates warned against it.

I've never seen any issues (been using Office:Mac since 2004 or so), nor have I read any poor reviews about it, sans startup times. What reviews are you talking about?

Office 2011 works just as good as an office suite can, IMO.

I have been using Office 2011 with no problems for over a year now. I wouldnt worry about anything.

So you finally decided to get with the times?

Office 2011 has been perfectly stable for me since release.

Office 2011 is perfectly fine for me. Slow startup times have not been an issue, but all my app drives are SSDs.
