Saying how we can use the Files app so it's possible we can right away transfer things we have on our phones into the drive natively without a 3rd party app.

I would guess it will be disabled at a later beta. Does not make much sense to support external drive on an iPhone.

Yeah, why would you want to back something up on a trip or bring extra media with you.
