When the official one comes out will I have too put the new official one on my phone or am I able too stick with gm?

The GM and the first public release should be identical. The GM is what new iPhone 4s' will ship with.

Well, the Gm should be the final Version. But I think you still have to upgrade to the final iOS5 when it comes out as the GM Seed may have a deactivation timestamp like all other betas, but that I'm only sure with "true" betas.

One other thing I can definitely tell you is that the GM wasn't the same as the final version in iOS 4.3 (I think that was the last major release)
Those days I had a major bug in one of my iPhone3GS-es that even occurred in the GM Seed. (The LCD Screen didn't turn off with the iphone when going to sleep!)
That bug was gone in the final public release, just like the apple dev staff promised me.

So I strongly sugest updating to the public release.

Byte for byte, it will be the same. No point in "upgrading at all".

In respect to iOS 4, that was a rare case of a second GM being released.

Why do you guys keep saying this? It is not true, the GM's that are released early for iOS developers timebomb and they always have.

In hardware and software development, a golden master is the reference model from which copies are mass-produced. An analogy is made to the production of certain types of physical media. In that process, a mold is cast in gold, from which subsequent copies are derived.

Their are no "Time Bombs" in a GM build, this will be the same version that gets released on Wednesday.

Um..... Clearly not an authoritative source regarding the subject, eh?

GM is the final has no developer device checks and no time bomb.
