I used to be ok with the fact that a once a year refresh and expecting a few years of updates was ok

However, Apple has a tendency to keep support for only 2 past iterations with ios. This could make past devices unsupported pretty quickly.

Do you think that with these fast refreshes that Apple will continue to support older iteration devices longer? much like with the mac fields being able to run older os's for many years?
