With replacement laptop, do you send yours or get it first?

Just wondering, I'd like to minimize downtime without a computer. That's a big deterring factor whether I wait for arrandale MBP or get one now while I'm on break and can afford a few days without a laptop (versus during the semester)

Do they send you the replacement first or only after you send them yours first?

I guess it's like with replacement iPods where you send yours after you have received the replacement...

to use your original unit while waiting for the replacement is possible.
just they will need your credit card detail.
and will charge you if you haven't return the unit within 1 month.

if you receive first, i would imagine you would have to provide cc info in the event you didnt send yours in

if you send yours in first, you wouldnt need to

at least that has been my experience with other items such as hdds and such

With cases I've read, they send you a replacement and then you send yours back.

That's excellent thanks guys. Guess I'll wait for Arrandale despite problems I'm still having that I'll live with for a few more weeks before giving Customer Service a call.
