I've set some share folders, from windows xp I can open the folders (even create files) and see the child folders but when I try to open them I get access denied.

I'm using snow leopard 10.6 on a mac mini, can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

TIA

Sounds like you need to fix the permissions in Windows XP. It also sounds like you're running NTFS file system on the XP box.

On your XP computer, bring up the permissions on the child folders you want to use. Just for testing, add "Everyone" with full permissions, then see if you can create/open the child folders.

If this works, set the permissions on the parent folder and it should add those permissions to the child folders as well.

If, for some reason, you're using FAT32 file system, consider migrating it to NTFS to enable permissions.
