I discovered this today and didn’t see it mentioned too much elsewhere, so figured I’d point this out for anyone else who likes as much information as possible (like me).
If you have the temperature feature turned on on your series 8 or Ultra, you can go to ‘wrist temperature’ and see the graph with the +/- baseline readings. That was disappointing for me since actual measurements would be more meaningful. I work in healthcare so I like quantifiable data.
Turns out, you can see an actual temperature. While under ‘wrist temperature’, if you scroll to the bottom and click ‘show all data’, it will have your nightly data compiled. If you click on any given date there, the actual temperature reading will be at the top. My guess at the current time is that it’s an average of multiple temperature readings overnight. Body temperature is lowest overnight into the morning, so it will be good data to base changes in health on (fluctuations in heart rate, blood oxygen, respiratory rate).
