I have a question to anyone who has tried/used a recent model of Macbook Pro or even Macbook, without a battery. Do these machines actually switch on if you just plug them and have no battery inside?
Just curious.

Umm... some work with a battery, but the CPU has to work harder, & the Mac will run slower.

recent model of Macbook Pro or even Macbook,
Apple has been gluing batteries to the case since 2012, so there's really no effective way to use the MBP w/o a battery.. Besides that, w/o a batter the laptop will run at 1/2 speed because it does require the battery

Wow, wait, so what happens when eventually the battery die out or is just dangerous to use and can't be replaced as out of warranty/support? If you can't just remove the battery, does this mean you have to throw away the laptop?
