Hey everyone,

my new mac hardware (time capsule and mbp) have finally arrived but I'm having some difficulties getting wlan along with my mouse to work.
Whenever I transfer more than a trivial amount of data wireless, the mouse begins lag, while I can move the cursor using the touchpad without problems (so no performance problems). And whenever I move the mouse the transfer rate drops extremely (from 2mb/sek down to 500kb/sek on downloads)

After some research I found out that the MX Revolution uses 2.4GHz frequency to communicate with the receiver and 802.11n uses 2.4 together with 5 GHz. So I guess they seem to interfere although I already tried different channels on the time capsule (6, 8, 13 so far).

Has anyone else had this problem (I guess wlan and mx revolution should be a pretty common combination) and found a solution for it? I'd appreciate any help.

regards,
Michael

The exact same thing occurred with my logitech wireless mouse.

I changed to 2.5Ghz 'N' network and the mouse interference stopped.

Also, you could try turning off "Use Wide channels" option in Airport Utility app:
- select 5Ghz 'N'
- Click 'Wireless' Options
- turn off 'use wide channels'

Unfortunately, your N network will be slower.

*BTW - I leave Use wide channels turned on and my mouse stability is fine.
I have 6Mbps Multitask rate option selected.
