Is it possible to create playlists in media player?

I have a bunch of .asf files that won't play in Itunes I don't think.
 
try vlc--it should play .asf files. although the one asf file i have--the video "home base" plays all f*d up looking :confused:
edit: vlc supports making playlists, the reason i suggested it.
