WMV files only playing half of the movie in quicktime

Hey guys, I have a .wmv file and when I try to open it in quicktime it only plays half of it, but when I attempt to convert it to a different format like .avi, the quality gets reduced but it will play the entire thing. Anyone know why? It's driving me nuts!

Just curious, what happens when you play it in Movist? Still the same problem?

(Movist is head and shoulders above Flip4Mac, but that's neither here nor there... just suggesting as a possible diagnosis tool)

I'm guessing that you are using the free version of Flip4Mac.

I'll give that a try, see if it works. And yes, I am using the free version of Flip4Mac. Thanks again guys for the replies.
