.wmv files, play on other than windows media player?

i would like to watch .wmv files, but they don't work on VLC or Quicktime. what else can i use besides Windows Media Player to watch them?

VLC and MPlayer OS X are probably the best at playing a wide variety of formats. But if VLC didn't play it, I'd guess they are either protected wmv files or in Windows Media 10 format. In that case you're probably out of luck - you're stuck with Windows Media Player, and even then only on Windows.
