wmv files within websites jumping.....

For months I've been using safari and windows media player to watch embedded wmv movies on many sites including, dumpalink.com..... recently these movies have been playing about 70% of the way and then start stalling and jumping.... this appears to be independent of size and total time.

I've re-installed win media player but that didn't help.

Anyone else seeing this?

I have the same problem, I watch videos on 2flashgames.com and the wmp always start to skip when 3/4 of the way through. It defo not a bandwidth problem.

It never happens with inbedded QT, Ive seen my friend use windows and have the same problem.

WMP is just a pile of crap me thinks.

I totally agree with you there. Quality sucks, streaming sucks, app sucks. I try to use the wmv's on the BBC RSS link in Firefox, but they never work.

WMP is definitely the problem, I experienced the same when trying to watch BBC news yesterday.

Sometimes I find that it plays better if you open the link in the WMP application itself.

Bloody wmv...... why do all these sights use it!
