.wmv to .mov conversion issue

Okay, I have a .wmv file that I want to convert to .mov

Tried to do it in ffmpegX, just dinged like it was done in a split second, no file created.

Used MPEGStreamclip, works a while starts the conversion, but watermarked the file with a huge flip4mac logo. I don't even have flip4mac installed. I have WindowsMediaVideo for mac.

I just want to make it a .move to make it more friendly with frontrow...any suggestions?

Pretty much your only option is to buy the version of Flip4Mac that lets you transcode from WMV.

Also, ditch the ancient Windows Media Player 9 for Mac. Microsoft hasn't supported it for ages, and even recommends Flip4Mac now.

Have you tried VisualHub? I don't have the full version of Flip4Mac (just the viewer) and using VisualHub I can convert wmv files to mov files.

iSquint will convert .wmv (and a load of others) to .mp4

i 2nd this, FFmpegx seems can't handle WMV as input source.
